hello november.

i really can't believe that it is november already. holy cow. november brings a lot of fun activities:
daylight savings ends so we get an extra hour of sleep :)
my birthday. (let the countdown begin! 16 days)
thanksgiving.
visiting with family
black friday!


let the holiday season begin!

i have to share a recipe with you guys today--i will be making thee pumpkin cupcakes this week [either tonight or tomorrow]. i found the recipe on pinterest, of course!

what you need
1 pkg. (2-layer size) spice cake mix
1 cup Breakstone's or Knudsen Sour Cream
1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
1/4 cup oil
3 eggs
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

make it

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BEAT first 5 ingredients with mixer until well blended; spoon into 24 paper-lined muffin cups.

BAKE 20 to 22 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 min.; remove from pans. Cool completely.

BEAT cream cheese, butter and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Gradually beat in sugar. Blend in cinnamon. Spread over cupcakes.

  1. Strangely enough, even though we got an extra hour of sleep, I still am sleepy all the time. November isn't my favourite month, as it's getting colder and colder, the first snow appears, but in your case it sounds like fun... how old are you turning? :)

    I've never heard of pumpkin cupcakes, so let us know if they're any good! Good luck with those!
